Add Triggers in a Flow

A trigger is an event that serves as the starting point of the flow. Adding a trigger to a flow is an essential step in its creation.

The Backflipt platform offers five different trigger types:

  • Manual Trigger
  • Scheduled Trigger
  • Webhook Trigger
  • Callable Flow Trigger
  • Application Trigger.

To add a trigger in a flow

  1. In the Add Flow dialog, search for or select the type of trigger that you want to add.
    For example: If you are an adding application trigger, select Salesforce or If you are an adding manual trigger, select Manual Trigger.
  2. Select Done. The new flow is created and opened on the canvas page.
  3. In the center pane of the canvas page, select the trigger to update Step Info properties.
  4. In the right pane of the canvas page, under the Step Info properties, enter the Step Title and the Step Description for the trigger.

  1. Next Add Action Step.
